The creator of AKIRA one of the most talented and creative men alive was born April 1954 under the name Katsuhiro Otomo. I could bore you with his earlier works but why would you have looked on this site unless you wanted to know about AKIRA, so he began working on the manga comic AKIRA in 1982. It was published monthly in young magazine. And then in 1988 along with the AKIRA committee he created the gem in its animated form.
